6.8.18 was a big day for the new Mr. & Mrs. David and Annie Dafforn! They celebrated there marriage with close family and friends at Sanctuary Event Center downtown Fargo.
Sanctuary staff and I teamed up to provide sound for the ceremony held on the main floor. As always it was a very beautiful setting with David, Annie and their bridal party standing up on the stage decorated with flowers and two hand written signs with their personal vows that they read to each other and their family and friends. David and Annie picked songs different then I have ever done before for a ceremony and it was cool to see their style of music shown here. Their bridal party walked down the isle to 'Hymne by The O'Neill Brother' with Annie and her father walking down the isle to 'The One by Kodaline'. After being officially introduced as husband and wife they made their exit to 'One Big Holiday by My Morning Jacket'.
The Dinner & Dance
The wedding party as well as the newest married couple in the room were introduced with the song 'Are You Gunna Be My Girl by Jet' by "gently" making fun of each of the groomsmen and bridesmaids with some info that David, Annie, and I had worked on in our planning meetings. After some good laughs we transitioned into dinner where, when people clinked their glasses to have Annie and David kiss the tables would be asked a trivia question that we had come up with ahead of time. If they got the question right the newlyweds would kiss and if they got it wrong Annie and David picked someone at that table to kiss :).
David and Annie's first dance was to 'You're The One by The Black Keys'. We followed up their first dance with Annie and her father dancing to 'Just Fishin' by Trace Adkins'. Annie and her dad always went fishing together when she was a child and during the middle of the dance her dad pulled out a mini fishing rod to dance around with! David and his mother followed by dancing to 'My Wish by Rascal Flatts'. We ended the night to Annie and David's request of 'Heart of Gold by Charles Bradley'.
